Despite a negative response to our funding application to SODEC, AOPA is moving ahead with a first iteration of the AOPA “Retrospective” Platform.
I have been working with AOAP’s senior WordPress developer, Valeriu Tihai, for the summer on the data design and structure for the four main data objects (Artworks, Artists, Series and Exhibitions) of the platform. We now have a working beta of the administrative interface (back end). For artworks, there are over a hundred fields broken into the following groupings, each with its own tab in the admin interface:
Don’t be intimidated! When working with AOPA every artist has a dedicated curator to help with assembling and preparing the data, text content and documentation. Furthermore, if you don’t use a field, it will simply not appear.
Check out the YouTube video above that gives a quick overview of the artwork fields. Please feel free to send us your comments firstname.lastname@example.org
